Care Technology

What is Care Technology?

Care Technology is the use of technology and digital devices to make a positive impact on health and wellbeing for people experiencing care. At HRM our dedicated team of Care Officers (Wellness Team) will work alongside you to determine what personal supports, digital and technology care solutions are suited for your needs. They will meet with Service Users and families, get to know you, and your daily routines and help you develop solutions which may help you to live independently. Technology can range widely. There are times when a simple phone adjustment would help people connect to their loved ones, for example, a digital doorbell to alert people to who’s at the door or adding a voice activated device to draw curtains and blinds is all that’s needed to help people remain independent in their own homes. We take the time to get to know a person through regular catch-ups, cups of tea and chats about daily activities. Taking a person-centred approach, we listen to what your requirements are and build a digital care plan with you that promotes independent living and helps achieve your outcomes, leading to improvements in wellbeing, health and quality of life.

HRM Homecare Services is leading in the transformation and digitising of Social Care. Our contribution will be about supporting both the adult social care system and our organisation to make the best use of digital technology to improve the quality and delivery of our care supports.

For independent living in general, digital technology and devices can support:

  • Support community connections

Information for people accessing care

If you are currently accessing support, either through a local authority funded service or if you have purchased your own care and support, please contact us for a technology consultation. You don't need to be tech savvy, or even have any technology currently. We are more than happy to help. We are keen to explore with you what technology and/or telecare can do to support you to live independently.

If you would like more information, please get in touch with our Wellness Team, or your dedicated Care Team: 01236 429859 (option 4).
