Job Description:

HRM Homecare East Dunbartonshire are currently looking for reliable and passionate Support Workers in Milngavie who have a keen interest in making a difference in their local community. The role of our Support Workers is to provide help and encouragement to individuals in order to empower them to be in control of their own life and live as comfortably as possible in their own homes. You will deliver quality care to our service users through daily tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting and meal-preparation, among other tasks. Further responsibilities of our Support Workers may include, light housekeeping, accompanying service users to appointments and social events or companionship, all while building a warm yet professional relationship.

Duties:

The duties of our Support Workers may include but are not limited to:

  • Washing and dressing Service Users.

  • Providing personal care such as catheter care, stoma care and toileting.

  • Meal preparation.

  • Social and emotional support as required.

  • Medication.

  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks.

  • Companionship.

  • Co-operation with relevant health and social care providers.

You Must:

  • Be a friendly, kind and compassionate individual with a genuine desire to care for other.

  • Have a willingness to learn and develop

  • Have Excellent communication skills

  • Be reliable

  • Live the HRM Values

Preferable:

  • Have a full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle.
